James Rufus (Rufus) Gaut age 42 was the son of John J. Gaut and Margaret Angeline (Angeline) Bryan. Angeline was the daughter of my fourth great grandparents Thomas C. Bryan Sr. and Nancy Cate. As such, Angeline was the sister of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan. Rufus's wife was Ida Witcher Thomas age 36. Ida was the daughter of William Jasper Thomas and Margaret Jane Palmer. |
