8. Flayl Nichols1,2,3,4
was born in 1747. The Nichols Book lists Flayl's birth place as Sweet
Water Creek, Martin County, North Carolina. However, it this birth place seems
very unlikely. It seems much more likely that Flayl was born in Virginia. (RGB)
He was in the Kings Mountain Men and fought in the Battle of Kings
Mountain.
Flayl moved to what is now Sevier County in 1789, but Sevier County
was not actually created until 1794.
